How to Reopen a Closed Case
The Reopen Case Wizard is used when supervision will restart on a case that has already been closed. An example is an offender going to jail now being supervised on that case.
-
- When this wizard is used, a new interval group and supervision period are created.
- Open the Cases section on the Client Management form.
- Select the closed case from the Cases section.
Step 1: Choose Reopen Case Wizard from the menu.
Step 2: Define the case(s) to reopen.
Step 3: Define the start date and duration of the new interval.
Step 4: Define the initial supervision details.
Step 5: Define the supervisor for the new supervision.
- A new interval group will be created on the case. This is represented by a tab that will contain the new intervals related to this case. The other tab contains the intervals related to previous supervision—Ex: before incarceration.
- A new supervision period was also created, which will hold all the supervisions related to the new duration of probation
