Warran County Common Pleas Court Enhances Jury Management

Warren County, OH — The Warren County Common Pleas Court is proud to announce the launch of an innovative jury management system, developed in collaboration with Ohio-based software company, ezJustice by StepMobile. Court Staff worked closely with ezJustice to design and build Jury to streamline the jury selection process, improve communication, and enhance the experience for both court staff and jurors. The partnership highlights the court’s commitment to leveraging technology to drive efficiency, save time, and improve the overall jury management process.

Jury represents a significant step forward in efficiency and user accessibility, combining powerful functionality with user-friendly design to simplify the complex logistics of jury management. Key features tailored to meet the needs of both the court and the jurors include:

  • Jury Web Portal and Dashboard: Jurors can easily access all information and communications through a self-service portal and communicate with court staff regarding their summons, request excusals or deferrals, and submit required documentation, all from the convenience of their computer or mobile device.
  • Extensive Communication Platform: The software offers jurors enhanced communication options, including email, text, and automated call-in messages, ensuring they stay informed. Court staff can configure automated messages to notify jurors of their reporting status or changes, and jurors can check their status via the Jury Web Portal, with bulk messaging enabling the court to efficiently notify large groups in case of schedule changes.
  • Customizable and Accessible Juror Questionnaires: The court can now quickly create and modify juror questionnaires without delays or added expenses, ensuring adaptability to changing needs. Jurors can simply scan a QR code to complete online questionnaire, giving them full confidence that the summons is legitimate in light of frequent jury scams.
  • Effortless Jury Management: Loading the annual jury pool from the Board of Elections is now a quick and cost-effective process, replacing the previously cumbersome and expensive approach.
  • Flexible Summons Management: Jury’s advanced communications tools allow the court to send summonses in customizable volumes, as few or as many as needed, with full support for multiple courtrooms and different jury types.
  • Seamless Printing and Mailing Services: Jury commissioners can now send jobs for print and mailing directly through Jury and monitor the status of the process.

“As a local company, we take great pride in supporting courts within our state and creating a product that really works for them,” said Tristan Gardner from ezJustice. “This partnership illustrates our commitment to delivering practical, forward-thinking solutions that make a real difference. We are thrilled to have customers like Warren County Common Pleas who trust us in creating a platform that not only saves time and money but also elevates the experience for everyone involved in the jury process.”

This implementation reflects Warren County Common Pleas Court’s dedication to innovation and efficiency while ensuring a seamless transition to a system that will provide cost savings year after year. Through this partnership, the court and ezJustice have demonstrated the power of collaboration in achieving technology-driven progress that benefits the community.
